Morning mist is the name of the song that reminded me I have a heart this morning. This heart weighed heavy as i heard the ocean mist and piano. It reminded me of the music played in the background of a dramatic movie scene the main character’s world is turned upside down by tragedy, like when a husband dives into the river to attempt to unlock the sinking car his family is drowning in, but he fails to do so and his eyes meet his wife’s, and they share a sullen acceptance that she will die and he will leave her to save himself. Even though I felt sad, I refused to change the song, just like the hero of the movie refuses to quit on life. We get through it and eventually we feel better. Maybe he meets a woman who attempts to give him life after death. Well, I continue to listen to the song and I start to feel better. By the end of it, I’m happy that I was able to hear it.

The picture’s exotic environment caught my eye. The setting is a tropical rainforest with a single rope bridge extending deep into the unknown. It’s the only path to take if I want to moving forward. I could just sit down and remain stagnant, but that’s not my style. I’m not deep in a rainforest or jungle to just stop here because I’m afraid, ya know? So I would brave psychological fear and cross the bridge knowing this situation really represents comfort vs. growth. And recently I’ve chosen growth.
